Additional Info:
Please use this product responsibly. We’ve created our seed shaker to add native wildflowers to areas that would otherwise be bare, unused or for public property. Please avoid sowing on individuals private property or lawns.
We’ve filled our seed shakers with a mix of species specifically chosen for their ability to work through existing vegetation. However, for best results we recommend you try to sow seeds directly to exposed soil.
Be patient if you’re overseeding into existing vegetation. Progress can be slow due to the seeds working their way down to the soil.
Tips for Guerrilla Gardening
Location is key: Look for neglected or abandoned land: vacant lots, curb strips, alley edges, underused park corners. Look for sheltered spots near tree trunks, lamp posts or other permanent fixtures.
Timing: Planting in the fall or early in spring will ensure the seedlings get plently of water and have a chance to get established.
Stagger your seeding: Revisit your seeded locations and add additional seed periodically to increase your chances of success.
Divide and Conqure: Try multiple locations. There are a lot of things that can go wrong when Guerrilla gardening. The more locations you try the better the odds you’ll get one to stick.
